Hi Blair,
I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties, in my opinion you are on the correct path. I understand that processed foods are less expensive, and in my research of the costs associated with the expense of food is related to government subsidization. Most grains, and products that go into the majority of processed foods are subsidized by the government and that drives the cost down, and incentives for the farmers to grow those crops up. We need to be subsidizing the fruits and vegetables, and much less of the grains, but we have to be the change we want to see. Hang in there, you are on the right path. I am sorry to hear about your difficulties.

I cut out all artificiall coloring, preservatives, msg &chemicals in the 70's. People thought I was crazy. I still got fibromyalgia, mctd &Sjogrens. I do agree with your article, but many of those with these chronicill illnesses struggle even food stamps is not enough for me to buy fish, organic veggies, fruit etc. I can't even afford 3 " normal" meals a day. I buy no junk food, soda or meat. I'm lucky if I get to eat 3 hot meals in a week

This article "Understanding the Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome. Fibromyalgia and Back Pain
Part II", by John Zajaros is the Best article I have found that completely unfolds all the omnipresent pain that is fibromyalgia. I have suffered from FM for 11 wretched years. Fibromyalgia is debilitating and it IS disabling, not 'May be' disabling. In the circle of friends that are in my support group, 100% are disabled.
I lost my job because of FM, filed for Disability and won. Great article!
