Important: DrBradShook.com provides educational information and information about functional medicine consulting, self-directed supplement protocols, and related services. Website content is not a substitute for diagnosis, prescribing, emergency care, or individualized medical advice from an appropriately licensed healthcare professional.
1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms of Use apply to DrBradShook.com and the content, resources, website features, supplement protocol pages, purchase links, applications, and other public services made available through the site.
By accessing or using DrBradShook.com, you agree to these Terms of Use to the extent permitted by law. If you use the site to access or purchase a product, program, supplement protocol, laboratory service, or other paid offering, the purchase-specific terms, refund rules, informed consents, third-party terms, and other agreements presented for that transaction also apply.
Separate written agreements may govern consulting services, individualized recommendations, programs, products, laboratory services, or other professional services. When a more specific signed agreement, informed consent, or purchase-specific term addresses the same subject, that more specific agreement controls for that subject to the extent permitted by law.
2. Educational Content, Not Medical Advice
The information on this site is provided for educational and informational purposes. Reading the site, using its resources, sending a general inquiry or submitting an Application for Care does not by itself create a doctor-patient, clinician-client or other professional treatment relationship.
Do not use this website to diagnose or treat a medical condition, change a medication, delay needed care or respond to an emergency. Questions about diagnosis, medications, urgent symptoms, emergency concerns and medical treatment should be directed to an appropriate licensed healthcare professional. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency service.
3. Limited Permission to Use the Site
Subject to these Terms, you may access and use the site and its publicly available content for your own personal, noncommercial informational purposes. This permission is limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable.
Except where the site clearly provides a download, sharing feature or other permission, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, license, scrape, systematically extract, modify, distribute, publicly display, create derivative commercial materials from, or otherwise exploit site content without prior written permission or another lawful basis.
4. Intellectual Property and Brand Names
Unless otherwise indicated, the text, graphics, illustrations, photographs, videos, audio, downloadable materials, page designs, code and other original content on DrBradShook.com are owned by or licensed to the site owner and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
The names, branding and historic entity associations used in connection with Brad Shook and this website, including “The Hashimoto's Doctor” and “Hashimoto's Doctor”, may be protected by trademark, copyright, publicity or other applicable rights. Nothing on this site grants a license to use those names or other protected branding for commercial or misleading purposes.
If you believe material on this site infringes rights that you own, use the current contact information available on DrBradShook.com and identify the material, the URL, your contact information and the basis for your claim.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the site in a way that violates law, infringes another person's rights, interferes with site security or operation, attempts unauthorized access, introduces malicious code, impersonates another person, or misrepresents your relationship with Brad Shook or DrBradShook.com.
You also agree not to use automated tools in a manner that imposes an unreasonable burden on the site or circumvents technical restrictions, except to the extent such activity is permitted by law or by ordinary search-engine and accessibility technologies.
6. Feedback and User Submissions
If you voluntarily send non-confidential comments, ideas or suggestions about the website, you grant permission to use that feedback to improve the site and services without an obligation to compensate you. Do not send confidential, proprietary or sensitive health information through channels that are not specifically intended for that purpose.
Information submitted through an Application for Care or another designated secure service is handled according to the applicable privacy notice, platform terms and any service agreement that applies.
7. Accuracy, Updates and Availability
Reasonable efforts are made to keep content useful and current, but medical research, products, services, links and other information can change. DrBradShook.com does not guarantee that every page is complete, current, error-free or appropriate for every person or situation.
The site may be changed, corrected, suspended or discontinued at any time. Access may also be limited when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance or misuse.
8. Third-Party Websites and Services
The site may link to or integrate with third-party websites, laboratories, educational resources, video or audio platforms, application tools, payment processors, analytics providers or other services. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
DrBradShook.com is not responsible for the availability, security, content, policies or performance of a third-party service. A link or integration does not necessarily mean that every statement, product or service offered by the third party is endorsed.
9. Privacy
Your use of the site is also subject to the Privacy Policy. That policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored and shared in connection with website use and related services.
10. Purchases, Programs, and Controlling Agreements
Some products, programs, consulting services, supplement protocols, laboratory services, or other offerings have separate purchase terms, participation requirements, informed consents, service agreements, or refund rules. The Refund Policy and any terms presented at the time of purchase, enrollment, recommendation, or service apply to those transactions.
A purchase does not guarantee eligibility for individualized care, acceptance into a consulting program, a particular test, a particular supplement recommendation, continued access to a service, or any specific health outcome.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, an exception, credit, accommodation, rescheduling decision, refund, or other discretionary action in one situation does not change the written terms for another transaction and does not create an ongoing entitlement to the same exception.
11. Supplement Purchases Through Fullscript
Dietary supplements and supplement protocols made available through DrBradShook.com or Brad Shook's functional medicine practice are fulfilled through Fullscript unless expressly stated otherwise. This applies both to existing consulting clients and to individuals who purchase a public or self-directed supplement protocol without an individualized consulting relationship.
By accessing a supplement recommendation or protocol associated with DrBradShook.com and proceeding to purchase, reorder, or use supplements through Fullscript, you acknowledge that the transaction is also subject to the Supplement Purchase & Use Terms, the Refund Policy, the Disclaimer, and Fullscript's then-current applicable terms and fulfillment policies.
Purchasing, receiving, reordering, using an auto-refill feature, or continuing to have access to a supplement through Fullscript does not by itself establish, renew, extend, or expand an individualized consulting relationship with Brad Shook, DC, AFMC. It also does not by itself renew an expired individualized supplement recommendation.
Existing consulting clients remain subject to the signed agreements, informed consents, individualized written recommendations, follow-up requirements, and recommendation-duration rules applicable to their consulting relationship. Individuals who are not consulting clients do not receive individualized case review, medication review, laboratory interpretation, monitoring, personalized supplement selection, telephone or video consultation, or ongoing access to Dr. Shook merely because they purchase a public supplement protocol.
Fullscript controls matters such as payment processing, product availability, order processing, shipping, cancellations, returns, replacements, and product-quality complaints under its own current policies. DrBradShook.com and Brad Shook do not manufacture, warehouse, package, or ship products fulfilled by Fullscript.
12. Laboratory and Testing Services
Laboratory testing associated with DrBradShook.com or Brad Shook's functional medicine practice may be ordered through Fullscript or another expressly identified third-party laboratory platform. Two different service pathways may apply, and the scope of the professional relationship depends on which pathway is being used.
Laboratory Testing for Existing Consulting Clients
When Dr. Shook recommends or orders laboratory testing for an existing consulting client as part of an active individualized consulting relationship, the testing is part of that client's broader case evaluation and is governed by the client's signed Practice Better agreements, informed consents, applicable service terms, and any written laboratory or follow-up instructions provided for that case.
Depending on the service purchased or agreed to, Dr. Shook may review laboratory findings together with the client's health history, symptoms, medications, diet, lifestyle, prior testing, and other relevant information and may use those findings when developing or reassessing individualized recommendations. The exact scope of laboratory review, follow-up, fees, and communication is determined by the applicable consulting agreement or service description.
Ordering or paying for a laboratory test does not create an unlimited right to future laboratory interpretation, ongoing monitoring, additional consultations, or services beyond the scope and time period included in the client's applicable agreement.
Public or Standalone Laboratory Purchases
DrBradShook.com may also, when specifically offered, make certain laboratory tests available to individuals who are not active consulting clients. The exact scope of any standalone laboratory service is limited to what is expressly described at the time of purchase.
Unless the specific laboratory offer expressly states otherwise, purchasing a standalone laboratory test does not enroll the purchaser in ongoing functional medicine consulting and does not create a right to telephone or video consultation, individualized treatment planning, supplement recommendations, medication management, or continuing follow-up. If a written review or interpretation is included, the purchase-specific terms will define what is included, how it is delivered, the communication method, the expected timing, and when the service is considered complete.
Fullscript and Third-Party Laboratory Functions
Laboratory testing may be processed through Fullscript in different ways depending on the service pathway, the test, and any applicable ordering requirements.
For an existing consulting client, Dr. Shook may order laboratory testing directly through Fullscript as part of the client's individualized consulting relationship when permitted and appropriate. In that setting, an outside authorization network is not necessarily part of the ordering process unless it is selected, required for the particular test or jurisdiction, or otherwise applicable.
For public or standalone laboratory purchases, Fullscript may require use of an Authorization Network or another ordering pathway. When that applies, the Authorization Network or other ordering provider may have responsibilities relating to order authorization, critical-result procedures, or other functions defined by Fullscript's current policies.
Fullscript, the laboratory, and any applicable ordering or authorization provider may control kit fulfillment, specimen collection, shipping, processing, laboratory reports, cancellations, refunds, replacements, and other third-party functions under their then-current policies. Those third-party policies apply in addition to DrBradShook.com terms governing any professional service provided by Dr. Shook.
13. Consulting Services, Scheduling, and Professional Fees
Individualized functional medicine consulting is available only through the applicable acceptance, intake, scheduling, informed-consent, and agreement process. Submitting an Application for Care, purchasing a public supplement protocol, purchasing a product, or using this website does not by itself create or extend an individualized consulting relationship.
Consulting services may include professional time spent reviewing intake forms, records, laboratory information, preparing for appointments, conducting consultations, developing recommendations, or completing other agreed professional work. Fees, deposits, cancellation deadlines, rescheduling rules, recommendation periods, communication boundaries, and refund eligibility are governed by the applicable signed agreement and the Refund Policy.
Professional fees are not converted into an open-ended right to future access, unlimited messaging, indefinite review, or services beyond the scope and time period expressly included in the applicable agreement.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. DRBRADSHOOK.COM DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS OR SUITABLE FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRAD SHOOK, DRBRADSHOOK.COM AND THEIR APPLICABLE OWNERS, AFFILIATES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, LICENSORS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the site owner and applicable affiliates, service providers, licensors, employees and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses and reasonable costs arising from your material breach of these Terms, unlawful use of the site, or infringement of another person's rights through content or activity you submit or control.
17. No Waiver or Informal Modification
Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later. A discretionary exception, courtesy, refund, credit, scheduling accommodation, email response, text message, telephone conversation, or other informal communication does not permanently change these Terms, a purchase policy, or a signed service agreement.
A material change to the terms of an individualized service must be made through an applicable written agreement, written policy, or other written communication expressly issued or approved by the practice.
18. Governing Law and Severability
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any law that requires otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or use of the site will be brought in an appropriate state or federal court serving Catawba County, North Carolina.
If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted or treated as severable, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
19. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as the website, services, vendors, business practices, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
Your continued use of the site after a revision becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law. A completed transaction remains subject to any purchase-specific or signed terms that applied to that transaction unless the parties agree otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different result.

For privacy-related questions, review the Privacy Policy. For health or care inquiries, use the appropriate site resource or the public Application for Care.
