Fibromyalgia: Sleep Remains A Critical Element

Many fibromyalgia (FMS) sufferers can’t sleep.  The lack of sleep is the result of stress induced chemical imbalances within the body. Lack of sleep further impairs the body’s ability to replenish hormones and neurotransmitters that are essential to a normal sleep cycle.  Sleep deprivation has been show to exacerbate “fibro-fog” and play a direct role in pain, fatigue and depression in FMS.1,2,3,4,5
