gluten, too much thyroid meds which cause a break down of the cell which spill into the blood stream, and not eating regularly which causes our body to produce the stress hormone cortisol. Am I right???

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Those are some good answers Lisa. Regarding the thyroid medication dose, what you see is typically that the person will have too much thyroid hormone resulting in down regulation or decreased sensitivity of there thyroid receptors to thyroid hormone. This decrease sensitivity to the hormone results in hypothyroid symptoms even though medication levels are high.

  54. Jean Petmecky Reply

I am going to guess environmental toxins, stress and foods that trigger intestinal permeability.
