Are there certain foods you would recommend for hypothyroid? I’ve researched a few because I would much rather try to support thyroid function with nutrition than medicine

  2. Sheri Joyce Reply

Do you not recommend taking selenium or zinc long term to help Hashimotos?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Hypothyroidism is low Thyroid function. Hashimoto’s is specifically autoimmunity to your Thyroid (TPO or Thyroglobulin) which causes hypothyroidism.

My dr tested my thyroid and this year he also tested T3 free. It was low . Now I am on natural thyroid Rx. I am in my 60’s. I was having lots of symptoms of low thyroid but TSH and T3 andT4 were normal. It was the T3 Free that showed it. I have never felt better. I didnot realize how my thyroid had gone down. I go to Internal medicine dr. Thanks for your work. I watched your video on tracing on your dry erase board. I take Vit D too. Karen
