Snowy NW says hello
KetoDiet one year Iodine/iodide supplemented and doing really good!
Hashimoto’s here…I’ve been searching for the answer as to why my throat feels like it closes off from time to time. I can’t breathe when that happens. Is that a sign of nodules?
Video is frozen for me
Do you think naturethroid is better to take than synthroid?
Morning Dr Shook
I have Hashi… Was on the pill for 25 years … Finally went off … Now I have Premature oviarian failure and they want to throw me back on the Mini pill…. I tried HRT and it was awful…. They are saying if I don’t go back on the pill (because synthetic hormones in their opinion are just as good as bio identical) my bones and skin are going to greatly suffer. How does a woman know what to do? I don’t want to back on the pill :/
I tried iodine and I felt great but then it put my thyroid into hypo and raised my ferritin levels really high
What do you think about intermittent fasting
Thanks so much, so helpful
I’m still working on getting reverse T3 down. Other numbers look good.
I have had 2 swallow tests and both have come out fine, yet I always feel like something is stuck in my throat.
What’s your thoughts of Lyme disease & chronic EBV with hashimoto
They can be triggers and perpetuating factors that have to be addressed.
The Office of Dr. Brad Shook yes.. I just tested positive on a western blot test for lyme… and I have a reactivated EBV. And had hypothyroid since 1999.. I’m just a hot mess
I’m converting but my naturopathic has me on naturethroid 81.25mg and I’m getting T3 which he says I seem to not really need but I personally feel better getting a little T3 we are getting ready to recheck after 3 months. I do have some antibodies they are under 100
My dr. added t3 5 mcg, and then raised the dose to 20 mcg. I am so tired I can hardly stay awake, in the afternoon. Could it be from that?
Unfortunately Drs will not order reverse t3 and T4 🙁
I Still feel like dead.. TSH 0.3, FT4 11 and FT3 4,5. They don’t test Reverse T3 here in Sweden. 75 ug synthroid (T4) and 10 ug liothyronin (T3) medicin.. Why don’t I get better? I have Hashimotos and My thyroid is dead.
Thank you so much Dr Shook have a blessed day

Vitiligo and Hashi’s connected??

Can those with MTHFR convert T4 to T3?
What about a person that does not a have a thyroid due to thyroid cancer?
Sol, I found going on keto diet helpful. I have Hashimotos . struggled for years . worked out every day and never lost my weight I gained when I was endocrinologist guinea pigs. I was on way too much cytomel and it made me gain weight.
How do you reduce your inflammatory processes??
I have been taking kelp with 400mg of selenium. I’m also taking NP thyroid 90mg . Should I be concerned with too much iodine?
Good info..!
How much ferritin is optimal for thyroid function? Also does ferritin affect the body’s ability to optimally utilize naturethroid?
Where should reverse numbers be to not be concerned about this?
Thank you for all the information.
