Aren’t thyroid hormones helping?

Hashimoto’s here…I’ve been searching for the answer as to why my throat feels like it closes off from time to time. I can’t breathe when that happens. Is that a sign of nodules?

I have Hashi… Was on the pill for 25 years … Finally went off … Now I have Premature oviarian failure and they want to throw me back on the Mini pill…. I tried HRT and it was awful…. They are saying if I don’t go back on the pill (because synthetic hormones in their opinion are just as good as bio identical) my bones and skin are going to greatly suffer. How does a woman know what to do? I don’t want to back on the pill :/

I tried iodine and I felt great but then it put my thyroid into hypo and raised my ferritin levels really high

What’s your thoughts of Lyme disease & chronic EBV with hashimoto

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

They can be triggers and perpetuating factors that have to be addressed.

The Office of Dr. Brad Shook yes.. I just tested positive on a western blot test for lyme… and I have a reactivated EBV. And had hypothyroid since 1999.. I’m just a hot mess

I’m converting but my naturopathic has me on naturethroid 81.25mg and I’m getting T3 which he says I seem to not really need but I personally feel better getting a little T3 we are getting ready to recheck after 3 months. I do have some antibodies they are under 100

  15. Jeri Marks Reply

My dr. added t3 5 mcg, and then raised the dose to 20 mcg. I am so tired I can hardly stay awake, in the afternoon. Could it be from that?

  16. Christy Biggs Powers Reply

Unfortunately Drs will not order reverse t3 and T4 🙁

I Still feel like dead.. TSH 0.3, FT4 11 and FT3 4,5. They don’t test Reverse T3 here in Sweden. 75 ug synthroid (T4) and 10 ug liothyronin (T3) medicin.. Why don’t I get better? I have Hashimotos and My thyroid is dead.
