I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, both thyroid was removed, And it’s seems that my Adrenal glands is not working yet the blood test are normal. can the Adrenal blood test be normal and at time have misfiring that it goes undetected.

I thank you so much! I never knew how it all went together. You filled in the missing blanks. I have not found a doctor that knew all of this and so their answer was, just take the thyroid pill and call me in a year! You have answered so many of my questions, especially with this video, that I know I am doing the right things. The diet was critical. I just learned from you that gluten was critical, and now I understand the brain connections. Again, THANK YOU.

What are the cons of supplementing with Pregnelelone? I know it doesn’t find the root cause but can it help in the short term while attempting to correct other issues?

So if having balanced blood sugar is good for the adrenals does that mean intermittent fasting would be hard on the adrenals? Does fasting make your blood sugar go to low?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

You have to be in a “fat adapted” state or you will have difficulty with fasting. I will be talking more about this in the webinar Hashimotosdoctor.com/tcd

I stopped eating sugar, grains and the only fruit I eat is an occasional apple. I don’t eat starches accept rarely sweet potato. I make sure I get some healthy fats each day. I’ve lost 13 lbs that I know of. My blood sugar was on the edge of type 2 diabetes before I started. I was retested 2 months after I changed diet and my blood sugar plummeted in a good way. I don’t know if I’m fat adapted? I was wondering how this all works with blood sugar. Some people say you need snacks to keep blood sugar even while others say no snacks is better because every time we eat it creates a insulin response which causes us to have a roller coaster blood sugar. I do have high cortisol and hormone imbalances. Thanks for trying to explain all this to regular people.

Dr shook, if you are in a constant state of low blood sugar , activating the cortisol, will that damage your kidneys? My MIL is in chronic kidney failure but her gfr goes up ans down , and she is real bad about letting her sugar get low, could that be the inconsistency bringing her levels down ?

Now I have all kinds of health problems due to it. But no one can tell me how to fix them or getting straightened back out. I finally got the inflammation under control. I didn’t know where to go from here
