Thank you. What is difference with Graves if any

    • Brad Shook Reply

Hi Doreen, I will be recording a video on this soon, I promise. The difference is small in that it is still autoimmune, but that the target of the immune attack is different. Graves’ is much more dangerous than Hashimoto’s though because you could have a thyroid storm and it could result in a heart attack or stroke. I address it very similarly by investigating the drivers of the autoimmunity and working to dampen the process, or put it into remission. Hope this helps.

I have Hashimotos…I already know I have Reynauds but now I’m developing these white patches on my skin…is it vitiligo? Is there anything I can do to stop it or slow it down ???

    • Brad Shook Reply

Brandy, if it is autoimmune then one important thing to do is get testing done to detect immune system triggers (foods, infections and environmental chemicals). This is the approach I take with distance consulting clients and in office patients to try and dampen or put the autoimmunity into remission. Hope this helps.

Hi, Tracey. are you referencing EWG.org? That is one where you can go and check all of your cosmetics and cleaning supplies… it is a great, great resource.

Dr. Brad Shook I am on thyroid medication and been told I’m celiac. I have suffered from heart burn most my life and take 600Mg of tagament a day. I’ve been hundred percent gluten free for 2,1/2 years but just now connecting the dots. I’m also on testosterone replacement therapy does that tie into the autoimmune diseases? Is there a doctor like you in Springfield MO that you know of?
