Just go keto, so much simpler.

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

I like keto, and I have some of my clients use it, but some people can’t go straight into it, and others need to do it dairy free.. but I agree, it’s good for a lot of reasons.

      • Jennifer Chase

I started Keto at the end of May. I’m fine with some dairy but I can’t go overboard. I’m loosing weight and have more energy than I’ve had in a long time! I go for blood work this week so I’m curious to know what my levels will be!

    What about raw, unfiltered honey?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

If you have any problems with sugar (prediabetes, insulin resistance, type II diabetes) then no. Once you no longer have an issue with sugar, then in moderation. Risk is greater than the benefit .

    What about stevia?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

It’s probably the best nonnutritive sweetener, but there are issues with signaling your body that calorie containing “sweets” are on the way down the GI tract, when in fact they aren’t. The other issue is that stevia is a cousin to ragweed and some people react to it.
