Does anyone’s legs, joints, & feet hurt to where it’s hard to walk ? & swell?

    • Jackie Neal Reply

Yes, I no longer have my thyroid due to Graves and do swell quite a lot. (Gained so much weight after my thyroid was killed and cannot keep it off. Worst decision I made, of course with a traditional Endocrinologist, was to go through with the ablation.) Anyway, I take a diuretic. It helps with water weight. Am on natural desiccated thyroid, Armour, and it keeps my levels at or below 1 tsh. (Was on synthroid for many years and I felt my body did not convert T4 to T3 on synthetic medicine.) In regards to joint aches n pains…I take a prenatal multivitamin bc I’m anemic. All I’ve done for myself has been though research. I have a fine internist that prescribes Armour, but I’ve not yet seen a holistic Dr, like Dr. Shook. Prolly bc there are so few! I’m in Lexington, KY.

  39. Christine Heldreth Wright Reply

I have developed insulin resistance, elevated testosterone and elevated DHEAS. I heard u mention testosterone and insulin elevations (pre-diabetic). I always thought this was all connected as that happened at the same time as Graves diagnosis. Also vitamin D and B12 were very low. Endo said not related lol. I said it’s all the endocrine system!

  40. Randy Correia Reply

Your correct maybe old strain wheat only I farmed wheat & corn for 27 yrs the system needs to change Hi Dad

  41. Randy Correia Reply

I’m going to see a Endocrinologist for the first time can you suggest what you think is the best drug to take I’ve heard people say a few different ones

The most naive and dangerous thing a person with Graves can do is get an RAI.

  54. Camilla Williams Reply

Grave’s diseaseanemic and high cortisol. On meds but what else to do? have no energi for excercise but can go for slow, short walks.
