I have a fatty liver is this something to be concerned about
Sorry my comment didn’t come thru properly
What does hashis attack if one has no thyroid? I was dx’d with hashis 9 yrs post thyroidectomy.
I have all the hypothyroid symptoms with a goiter had a blood draw for TSH T3&T4 all were within normal range I was told by a regular dr. Should I pursue this further with an endocrinologist? I’m tired of feeling awful all the time.
My MD said the antibodies will just go attack something else. I only have half of mine and even though my labs are ” normal” I feel like crap and still sleep most of everyday. I did start a VERY strict Paleo diet and that has made some difference (lost 24 pounds so far), and helped the energy levels somewhat, but I cannot continue to live this way. My MD doesn’t seem to get what Dr Shook explains. I guess they think I’m lying or something
Pamela, you are doing great, but your doctor probably doesn’t understand your thyroid problem from this perspective. At some point you need to begin a reintroduction of food. Add one food every 4 days and see if you have a reaction. This way you can start getting variety back into your diet and you should be able to have a better idea what foods are your potential triggers. Keep in mind what foods can play a major role in autoimmunity but so can chronic infections and environmental chemicals. You started at the right place by changing your diet. If you need help just let us know. Have a great day.
I already know some of my food sensitivities. SOY, peanuts, fermented foods (mold). I’m also allergic to many trees, grasses, pollen from weeds, cat dander, dust mites, cockroach excrement. To name a few.
I have horses and a cat. Some cleaners give me asthma attacks. I use only soap and water and bleach to clean. I’ve cut out all grains, potatoes, corn, high sugar fruit.
If you’ve had thyroidectomy, does that mean you have an auto immunity? Was removed due to THINKING I possibly had cancer but didnt. 7 nodules, goiter and 3 normal biopsies. Was scared and had thyroid removed. Now all kinds of problems.
