    Ugh Buffering constantly

  2. The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Hi, Kristi. I noticed that there was a buffering issue too. Not sure if it is my wifi signal and the fact I’m in the sauna. I’ll look into it and see if I can fix the issue. I am going to start doing these live as long as I don;t have this issue with the streaming.

Where have you been all my life?! Every video is reading my mail. I’ve had trouble with heart palpations and anxiety since January. I’ve changed my diet and have implemented essential oils. I’ve been able to get off atenolol, but I’m still having frequent flare ups. Help!!

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Hi Lori, sorry you are having these symptoms. I wish I could tell you more based on what you have shared but there are too many possibilities without a lot more information and possibly testing.

      • Lori N Kelly Adams

The Office of Dr. Brad Shook, thank you for your response. Is there a way you could lead me in the right direction if I did labs here?

      • Lori N Kelly Adams

I had a TPO lab done about 6 months ago.

I have Celiac and the thyroid medicine they put me on had gluten in it. I took it for 3 weeks before I could figure out why I felt so sick. So now I’m trying to heal myself, while on a new medicine for thyroid, and the dose was lowered…

Sorry you are having such a difficult time Donna. Did hey tell you that you could take digestive enzymes? I have seen that this is necessary in my patients that have had their gallbladder removed. Sometimes herbs that help to thin the bile have also helped the people that I work with. I have routinely used Dandelion extract and milk thistle to help improve bile flow, but you would need to consult with your doctor prior to making these changes, this is just what I have done in similar cases. Hope this helps.

Hi Sarah, stay strong! There are a lot of things that you can do to dampen the autoimmunity. I teach a lot of it in my videos, but if you need help I work with people across the US and in other countries. We meet using phone, skype or facetime. Hope this helps.

Do you support taking thyroid replacement medication? What are your thoughts on taking LDN once the thyroid is good?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Hi Janet, yes I’m in favor of thyroid hormone replacement if it is needed. Thyroid hormone is vital to life and if your thyroid can’t make it then you absolutely should take a replacement hormone. LDN is something that I think does help people because it stimulates an immune system regulatory response to the stimulation of regulatory T cells because the LDN is an opiate. If possible I would exhaust every option 2 damp in the immune response to identifying the triggers and then focus on supporting immune system regulation by optimizing vitamin D and possibly using compounds like glutathione , turmeric Resveratrol and adequate Omega fatty acids. I hope this helps.

How do I get rid of them? They are constant they never stop. It worries me at times

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Tenya you gotta figure out what is causing them. This typically requires a very detailed health history and very expanded blood work too figure out. I wish there was an easier answer but unfortunately there a lot of different things that can create the symptoms.

Dr Shook any videos for those who’ve had a thyroidectomy? LevoCoster Ride…Hypo-hyper-hasi-graves…all based on the designated doses prescribed… I can hit all the highs and lows in a matter of months –

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Hi cyndi, I don’t have any video specifically for those people that have thyroidectomy but I can tell you that if you’re having problems and your thyroid hormone levels are within a normal range but you’re still experiencing symptoms then your physiology is very likely breaking down somewhere else. There are a lot of things that could be contributing to an inability for your body to utilize the hormone that you have in circulation in the first place that I would look would be at your inflammatory markers. Since you had Hashimoto’s and Graves, then you are autoimmune and even though they removed the thyroid and you may no longer have tissue destruction of the thyroid autoimmune process is still active and can expand to other tissues. Knowing that your autoimmune that would be one of the first places that I would start looking for sources of information period inflammation creates thyroid hormone receptor resistance in will make your body less sensitive to your thyroid hormones and actually all hormones for that matter. They’re just so many possibilities that I would have to look at a very detailed health history and also look at your labs to get a better idea of where the breakdown and chemistry Maybe. I wish I could be more specific but it’s impossible with such limited information, I hope you understand. Thank you for the comment and I hope you have a wonderful night. If you’d like to discuss this further you can make a free 15-minute consultation with me and we can discuss the details.

      • Cyndi Getgen Dawson

The Office of Dr. Brad Shook thank you so much for your consideration and reply. I will review you’re comments and my labs in great detail-and contact you when I can make the most sense in 15 minutes

I’ve been feeling great for a few weeks. Feeling like myself again until tonight. Heart palpitations, anxiety, high blood pressure, and feeling flushed. I’m so over this..

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Sorry you are having these problems Lori. Do you have an autoimmune diagnosis like Hashimoto’s or Graves’s?

      • Lori N Kelly Adams

The Office of Dr. Brad Shook . My TPO showed the antibodies and my symptoms for years have been hypo, I miscarried three times before a Dr. told me that I had Hypothyroidism with my last pregnancy. That was 6 years ago. In the last year my symptoms have gotten worse. I believe I have Hashimoto’s but every once in a while I will have signs of Graves like tonight, major anxiety, heart palpitations, flushed feeling ( instead of chills) it feels like a storm.. I am desperate to get better.

I have graves but the past several months now I have had horrible symptoms of underactive and have really struggled with feeling sick to my stomach. pluss have another undiagnosed autoimmune disorders such as maybe pharisis arthritis lupus or mixed connective tissue disorder . . I have had 4 surgeries over 3.5 years… my health is not good and I need help so bad my primary says we Have not found the right team of Dr’s… I can’t go into detail there is just too much . . but have had lots of soft tissue damage in multiple main joints in my body . . I feel so horrible at least when my thyroid was overactive and i was not on meds I didn’t feel as horrible as I do now .

  38. Brenda Westbrook Reply

wow I also had my gallbladder out like 4 years ago and have wondered with my thyroid prob and other undiagnosed conditions if it’s one of those or if it’s the fact that I no longer have my gallbladder . never had acid reflux and it’s been bad for over 3 months now . I’m just sick feel horrible can or feel like I need at least 13 hours of sleep and have no energy at all when I am up i may have one or two good days then 3 to 5 horrible days.

I have hashimotos and get anxiety everyday. Sometimes I get it worse at night with heart pounding, chills with severe uncontrollable body shakes. I’ve been doing the AIP diet since last week and found my anxiety worse. My antibodies are 1000+, doubled in the last 6 months. I have a feeling I could have Graves as well but unsure as I haven’t been diagnosed this with my intergrative dr

thanks for this info. I also have empty sella syndrome and Im wondering if this is contributing to my hypothyroidism which has been tough to manage with synthroid and desiccated thyroid
