So what do we use in place of?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

You would have to ask your doctor if there’s an alternative. There are many natural antimicrobials that maybe less damaging to the good bacteria.

What do you recommend after a course of antibiotics?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

I recommend taking high dose probiotics or eating yogurt if you’re not dairy sensitive with a very high bacteria count between doses of the antibiotic and taking it for at least one month Afterwards.

      • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook

I Recommend minimum doses up to 250 billion colony forming units on a daily basis but if you can make your own yogurt you can reach much higher bacterial counts at a much more affordable cost.

The instant pot works very well for this.

Also if someone with hypothyroid needs chemo, , wouldn’t that be worse for them than someone without thyroid disease?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

I’m not sure about that you would want to ask the oncologist. More and more on cology clinics are blending nutrition and functional medicine approaches with their care.

      • Monica Blackman

Well seems like you are one of just a handful that understands the ins and out of this disease.
