How Does Hashimoto’s Disease Cause Hypothyroidism?

Join Dr. Shook as he discusses How Does Hashimoto’s Disease Cause Hypothyroidism?

When looking at thyroid function you have to consider:
P – Production
T – Transportation
S – Sensitivity
D – Detoxification

If your doctor is not thinking about these pieces of the thyroid hormone puzzle then the entire picture is not being considered.

Dr. Shook consults with people around the world and across the US to help them investigate the factors contributing to their thyroid problems and often thyroid autoimmunity (the #1 cause of thyroid problems).

I really wish I found Dr. Shook before my total thyroidectomy. I feel he could have saved my thyroid. My thyroid was soooo destroyed by the inflammation from Hashimoto, my surgeon said it looked like dry shriveled up shoe leather. One of the worse he’d seen. Crazy thing is my thyroid levels were “normal” even up to the day of surgery.
