Have you heard about LDN, or Low Dose Naltrexone? You may have heard that it can help autoimmunity, but do you know how LDN helps the immune system?
LDN was discovered by Dr. Ian S. Zagon and Dr. Patricia J. McLaughlin at Hersey Medical Center, Penn State University.
Join Dr. Shook as he discusses LDN and how it works to support the immune system.

I have a prescription for LDN but got a horrendous headache 2 days into it. Should I push through it? Headaches are a factor for me with most things I try.

Not at all confusing , i think I am so ready for LDN . Thank you this makes perfect sense. Just trying to find a doctor that proscribe LDN .
Thank you Dr. Shook for a very clear explanation of LDN. I found it very interesting. I would like to know more about the benefits and risks of supplementing with glutathione. My understanding is it increases the immune response and helps with chronic inflammation, however the risk is that it can stimulate the immune system too much, correct? Should we have our glutathione levels checked prior supplementing? How do we assess if supplementing is beneficial? You don’t need to answer now, but maybe a future topic!
Jo-Ann Gulotta Inguanta I am also interested in the answers to your questions
Danna Crook this post was from a while ago. I have been supplementing with glutathione for a few months and I am doing well.
Jo-Ann Gulotta Inguanta if you don’t mind me asking, did you find out your level before starting?
Danna Crook no I did not. There is a lot of research supporting the benefits of glutathione. I decided to just try it and see if it brings down my low grade inflammation. My thyroid levels are currently optimal and my immune system has been calm. I’m not really concerned about it. I also have complete trust and faith in what Dr. Shook recommends for me.

Great explanation! I started on LDN in August for CFS/ME and it’s been a great help. I have a dramatic reduction in pain, less brain fog, more stable energy, improved mood and less stress or anxiety. Thank you for this video. It’s really brought clarity to the benefits.

Great video. My wife has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and has had shingles twice in 9 months and then gout shortly after her last episode. She has had Bell’s palsy and trigiminal neuralgia caused by the herpies zoster virus which is rare. She used to be super active and now at 48 she can hardly function. Her Dr’s have nothing but pills to give her which have so many side effects and make her feel out of it so she doesn’t like taking them. Looks like we need to consult with you. Someone who actually wants to find the root cause and fix it.

Exactly, need to get to the cause of immune response.
Thank you!
I tried one 1.5 mg dose a few days ago and it is making me miserable!!! Do your homework! It’s not for everyone.
Good job! But there are negative side effects!! I suffered with several.
