I have been on this roller coaster for over 20 years. With the help of many docs and Internet info becoming educated. Recently I had a flare up. For the first time I am taking LDN. How do you see the role and the position of LDN?

Hi Sheryl, it is an opiate that helps produce an immune regulatory response, so it may help with autoimmunity. I think there is a time and place for just about everything, and I have heard LDN has helped a lot of people. How are you doing with it?

      • Sheryl Ask

The Office of Dr. Brad Shook I will have repeat labs in a couple of weeks and under the care of a MD with focus on remission for autoimmunity. Much conflicting information
On LDN coming from great Docs.

If anyone wants to PM me I can send you a report on LDN from a patient/Doctor perspective. I am digging deep to understand LDN in an ongoing effort to be well.
I am sincerely hoping to hear from The Office of Dr Shook on their research.

From graves, to a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s after complete thyroidectomy to be followed by a complete hysterectomy six months after complete thyroidectomy to a diagnosis of Ra, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, and now, my rheumatologist has expressed concerns of lupus. I’m on extremely high dose of synthyroid, and have been for some time, tsh results continue to swing quickly from 4 to in the 200’s at times. I stay with inflammation, high sed rates, despite chronic use of ibuprofen and plaquenil. Multiple doctors and endocrinologist can’t not figure out why I’m not absorbing the medication (synthyroid)….. Would love your input!!!!!!

Dr Shook, what would you say is the biggest dietary culprit of inflammation. Dairy, wheat, sugar, beef…..it’s overwhelming to think of how to go about figuring it out.
