You’re the right way today
Hi Dr Shook
I admire your intellect and helpfulness.
Definitely !!!! Couldn’t get pregnant with my second. That’s how I finally got diagnosed. Tested my thyroid. And 1 month on synthroid , I was pregnant
Yes I suffered a miscarriage a few months ago. My tsh was at 4.59 ;(.
This is very interesting news.
Thank you for doing this…you know how important this to me!
Any research on infertility if your TSH is on the low side?
Anna, I looked around on Pubmed and found this paper… https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24249524
Basically, it’s a risk factor for, “miscarriage, stillbirth, preterm birth, and intrauterine growth restriction; and they can develop severe pre-eclampsia or placental abruption.”
They say there is no great answer as the antithyroid meds place the baby at significant risk…
They need help trying to dampen the process naturally prior to conception.
The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Still so little known about hyperthyroidism. It’s not as rare anymore as the article says. With antithyroid drugs like methimazole being dangerous during pregnancy, it’s no wonder doctors push so many people to go the RAI route. It’s a quick and easy fix because they don’t know what else to do due to lack of info on this topic.
Absolutely!
Yes my tsh before conceiving was an 8…. Then 1 month on synthroid pregnant and tsh went down to 1.5
Love

Wow interesting
I wish all women could learn this, too many having babies too close together and cry why both are not healthy!
As always thank you.
My endo’s office doesn’t even call with test results they send them to me. I need someone to explain them
Hi! I have low thyroid functioning with Hashimoto and any tip is beneficial to me to minimize symptoms or issues . Thanks
I so wish that all that we now know about thyroid disease/autoimmune , would have been available 30 yrs ago, it would have saved us so much heartache. Your work is greatly appreciated by many.
Wow
