Hi Dr. Shook perfect timing for lunch.
How do fido estrogens interact with a person who is on HRT?
It’s not good for babies in infant formula when it comes to brain growth.
How does soy affect hasimotos
Typical you through the stimulation of the immune response because of reactivity against soy protein.
I quit eating soy because my doctor said it’s not good for my thyroid. I have to watch some of my supplements too because some of them contain soybean.
So do we soy or not soy? Lol
i too stopped soy because i heard it’s not good for thyroid and I did a food sensitivity test and it said I was sensitive to it.
Yes I stopped too because of soy and hypothyroidism
Thank u for this. My wellness doc has told me to stay away from it but I can’t keep taking everything out of my diet. I have finally found a protein bar that helps me at times when I need a quick food. Luna bar and it has some soy.
I have food sensitivities to soy even though wasn’t eating it much.
Yes it’s very demonized because of that and that makes ppl scared
Wow….very interesting. What about phytoestrogens in other foods? Is the effect the same?
Not good for women who had breast cancer.
What about organic soy? That shouldn’t be a problem right ?
That should be okay.
So, if I am understanding you correctly… it does inhibit absorption? So can it block or inhibit estrogens from hormone replacement therapy?
I think it does compete with estriol but I would ask your pharmacist they should know. You may not be taking a hormone replacement that is estriol it’s probably estradiol.
I am on a bioidentical HRT called Biest and it is mixed with progesterone as well. It is a compounded medication. I will definitely check with my pharmacist! Thanks!!
I chose not to do HRT, but my PCP prescribed Duavee. I think I remember her saying that it did have soy in it. That was one of the many reasons that scared me about taking it.
Jamie, one of the main things I would consider is estrogne metabolism. If you are metabolising higher amounts of 4OH or 16OH estroges you are at greater risk of cancer. We often do this with a urinary estrogen metabolism test.
Nice sir
What type of test is used to figure out how you react to phytoestrogens?
H pylori infection also
Yes that’s what I meant. Thank you!
Organic soy milk often has caregeenan (sp?)in it-from what I’ve heard a possible cancer causing
yeah, that’s not a good ingredient.
So noted! Thanks for the feedback.
Yes it was my trigger
Mastic gum works
My son has a problem with soy, he has hashimotos. If he eats anything with any he will become sick.
Another great video.
Thanks for all that info
Thank you so much for this information

Can other intestinal bacterial infections like H-Pylori be transferred from saliva such as klebsiella pneumoniae?
I don’t know. good question.
I have
When I asked the questions regarding other foods and testing, I was wondering if phytoestrogens in other foods might have a stronger effect in a positive way to stimulate estrogen production in pre-ovarian failure? Soy is used some of HRTs.
What about soy on the uterine lining?
could basic H.Pyoi testing through GPs be wrong (through stools and / or blood work)? What’s the most accurate testing to have done?
My tofu is marinated for dinner….. I hope it’s good for ya
Wouldn’t it be than meat though….. plant based diet
Excellent information as always
How does soy affect those with lupus, hypothyroidism and fibromyalgia?
Soy is interesting… Soy actually stimulates ER beta receptors. You have Alpha and beta estrogen receptors. Alpha receptors are very stimulatory, they stimulate an estrogen response. Beta receptors are inhibitory they down-regulate the estrogen response. Though beta receptors do stimulate and estrogen response very mildly it actually can have a significant inhibition of estrogen stimulation.
Soy we can actually be protective.
If it’s in everything and from what I have seen it is… It likely is not good for you.

What if I give my 2.5 yr old daughter 8-16 oz of non gmo soy milk?
