If a person feels they have Hosimoto’s Will a Specialist Dr work with you that?
I have not met a general practitioner or endocrinologist that does anything for Hashimoto’s other than prescribe thyroid hormone replacement. The fact is, hormone replacement in is the only tool they have unless they prescribe a steroid or immune suppressant, and those only cover up the symptoms. Hashimoto’s is an immune system problem, not a hormone level problem, though thyroid hormone levels can be low and you have hashimoto’s. They say, “there is nothing that can be done” and that “you will just have to live with it.” They mean well, but that is an antiquated approach. The fact is this, they are not trained to work with it other than through medication or surgery. You have to address why autoimmunity is occurring, remove the triggers, health the barrier systems and support immune system regulation so that the body has a more appropriate immune response rather than attacking itself. If you want to know more, I recorded a presentation to teach the public how I approach it naturally, by looking for the cause of the autoimmune condition. You can learn more here if you are interested. https://drbradshook.com/autoimmune-hashimotos-thyroid/ Hope this helps.
So informative. God bless you Dr. Shook with long life and health as you fulfill your calling in life:)
