From my thyroid sonogram, diffuse heterogeneous echotexture which may represent diffuse goiter formation/thyroiditis. No discrete nodules. Asked doctor what it means and she just said there’s nothing to worry about. Can you tell me what it means?

Ok out of the blue question, Does Thyroid disease make your eye color change? I grew up with dark brown eyes and now my eyes have lightened up to a hazel as I’ve grown older. I did lose all color in my hair by the time I was 30.

Every single time I travel, even though my levels are good and eating AIP I have a “flare”. High blood pressure and heart rate. Disoriented, back and neck pain, numb arms and legs. I have no idea if all this is related but I always chalk it up to Hashis. Could all this be related?

  32. Amanda Iagallo Reply

    I posted this recently:

What about if your gut makes eating fruits and veggies difficult. The beginning of my most concerning symptoms became evident when I was eating salads, juicing and having high fruit, veggie, seed and protein diet. I’ve now cut seeds, and eat mostly carbs, take amazing probiotics and my gut feels mostly normal. It’s a double-edged sword.

Why do my blood tests read normal but my body says otherwise? I have Hashimotos

  39. Claudia Joaquín Hernández Reply

The other day you spoke about enzymes. Are there any that children can take? As well as a good probiotic? I have hypo possible hashis therefore I am always keeping an eye out on my son for any symptoms. He has been tested for hypo and TSH was normal (1.89) but low vitamin D (24) so I assume he isn’t able to absorb well his nutrients. he bloats a lot after eating.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 9 years ago and have gone from starting at 25 mg levothyroxine to 100 mg recently. Is that normal? I’ve tried adding selenium etc to my diet and staying away from soy in attempts to slow redegeneration Is it too late in the game for diet to help much?
