Doctors often never test thyroid antibodies once people have their thyroid removed. Can you talk about the importance of still testing antibodies even after removal?

  26. Caroll Lynn Garcia Ibarra Reply

I’ve heard from functional drs that they can reverse hypothyroidism specifically Hashimoto’s by making your TSH, T3,T4 levels normal. Not taking as important the antibodies . Does that’s true? You can have “normal values” high antibodies and say that your condition is reversed?

Dr shook you are so amazing. The way you present the information and the knowledge you have is so greatly needed. Please write a book on thyroid health. I have been to a GP, Endo, and Gyn. They don’t know what thyroid tests to order, how to read them or what medication to use. I’m on NDT but I had to beg my Dr to let me try it and he has no idea how to dose it. He made me worse by under dosing. We NEED Drs like you desperately and they need to be trained correctly. Thank God for Drs like you who are learning and growing and passing this knowledge to us so can advocate for health in the conventional medical community who doesn’t get it.

My question is.. once you have been diagnosed with thyroid.
Dose it come & go? I get blood work done & they say its fine. I end up really sick with what they call thyroid symptoms. Yet they say my blood looks good. Doc says I don’t need thyroid meds.
    Thank you.
