New Research – Near InfraRed LEDs Help Heal Peripheral Neuropathy

Several new research articles show that Peripheral Neuropathy can be treated, and the nerves can regenerate….this is a huge breakthrough.1, 2, 3, 4….and these are only a few of the studies.

The most recent paper stated, “Chamber fluid is produced from nerve stumps after nerve injury. This fluid contains neurotrophic factors that may accelerate axonal growth. Red to near-infrared LEDs have been shown to promote mitochondrial oxidative metabolism. In this study, LED irradiation improved nerve regeneration and increased antioxidation levels in the chamber fluid. Therefore, we propose that antioxidation induced by LEDs may be conducive to nerve regeneration.”1

So what does this mean? It means that people with peripheral neuropathy now have the chance to heal damaged nerves and potentially regain function and decrease debilitating pain.  This is a huge breakthrough as peripheral neuropathy has always been thought to be impossible to heal.

Common causes of neuropathy are:

  1. Diabetes
  2. Chemotherapy Medications
  3. Statin Drugs (Cholesterol Lowering Medications)
  4. Chemical Exposure
  5. Mechanical Nerve Damage
  6. Glutamine Deficiency
  7. B Vitamin Deficiency
  8. Autoimmune Conditions
  9. and many more….

Neuropathy is an epidemic, and we are proud to offer InfraRed LED therapy to people that are suffering with this life changing condition.  To schedule a complimentary neuropathy consultation to see if you are a candidate for treatment, call (828) 324-0800.

Hi, II fell in 2003, and it cause me to have severe damage scar tissue in my left buttock and lower back – I fell backward down a flight of steps. I have been looking for alternative treatments as I am tired of pain meds- and I am not sure anything will help after all this time. Please adivse. Thank You- Janet Lansford

      Hi Janet,
Sorry for the delay in responding to you question, and I am sorry to hear of your difficulties. I would suggest that you look for a doctor that offers three different treatments that could improve your condition. First, I would look for a doctor that performs ART, or Active Release Technique, it is a great technique for scar tissue. Second, a doctor that has a class IV cold laser. Third, you would likely benefit from Spinal Decompression Therapy to help with the lower back. My order is not indicative of importance, that would be determined on a physical exam. I hope this is helpful, but these therapies are excellent for many different conditions. If you have any other questions just let me know. Thank you for your question.

    Hello,

My husband is recovering from West Nile encephalitis…65 yrs old, very healthy and active before this. We just finished 40 treatments of hyperbaric oxygen which has helped him to be able to stand and transfer, take steps with the walker and generally have much more stamina than before but it didn’t take care of the weakness in his left leg and right arm. He has a certain amount of neuropathy in his feet, which could be partly from bp meds, but his right hand is quite affected. We’re told he can’t get stronger as long as the nerves are functioning but he will probably get it back…some day. That’s just not sitting well so we are looking for other options. A friend of ours he is a nurse has a nanobeam that we will try next week. Just wondering if this kind of nerve damage will be helped by such remedies…any thoughts would be very much appreciated. Hard to find answers because most people haven’t dealt with WNV.
