    Too much blood insulin, insulin resistance, increased blood glucose leads to higher cortisol and causes havoc to the thyroid. High sugar/carb intake without enough fiber, protein and fat depleted the body of essential nutrients. The diet can cause the stress & many of us are unaware of the blood insulin levels since hyperinsulinemia is not tested for, and pre-diabetes is not addressed with urgency by some doctors.
