I’ve been feeding my boys organic broccoli every.single.day for years. And we eat cabbage all the time. And cauliflower. And kale maybe weekly. I can’t believe coal ash gets into food supply from feed corn. WTH?!Then into manure. Then into organic crops.
Something else to research and worry about.

What do I *not* know about root vegetables and organic apples?!
All the “progress” of the last 150 years (I use that word loosely) seems to be riddled with severe problems.

Sorry for the rant. I’m just horrified. I read the linked source article in craftsmanship magazine as well.

      I know!

Growing your own may end up with same results is my opinion.
I live in a neighborhood that used to be farmland. For toxicity concerns, the top layer of dirt was removed and replaced before building began. (16 years ago this was.) But what was it replaced with?
I fertilized our little garden with organic manure. But it seems that could all be contaminated. Im guessing “organic manure” may not have to come from exclusively grass fed cows grazing in pristine pastures somewhere. All cow manure may be contain thallium etc from corn soy feed.
Air water soil… everything has been contaminated. Plane exhaust filtering down. Air pollution from all other sources coming down in rain into soil. It’s ubiquitous. Overwhelming to think about. I’m hoping that there is some hope in heavy metal detox protocols as a permanent periodic fixture in my life. Hoping to start something soon.

guess I’m going to have to learn to like the activated charcoal detox drink I take with the detoxification program
