What to do if multiple doctors disagree on dosage and medication for hashimoto?

  27. Linda L Young Reply

As far as toxins go, What do you think about the orthodontic retainer I’ve had cemented in my mouth for 30 years?

    • Linda L Young Reply

From what I’ve read, the bonded retainers were made of stainless steel. If I’m not mistaken, stainless steel contains nickel. I’m allergic to nickel!

      • Linda L Young

From a PubMed article about stainless steel wires: CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE:
“There is general consensus in literature that even very little amounts of nickel and chromium are dangerous for human body specially when absorbed orally”

      • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook

Great job researching Linda, thank you for sharing this.

Need help, have had hashimoto’s since I was 9yrs old. How can someone with Hashimoto’s feel so bad, but all hormone levels be normal?

  34. Christine Heldreth Wright Reply

    I can and will!!

  35. Christine Heldreth Wright Reply

Have a meeting w/ you next week! 🙂

  36. Carmen Coe Reply

Low tsh but in range Ft4 and Ft3? why would that occur?

  37. Christine Heldreth Wright Reply

Last months labs, Dr. Shook: TSH – .255, FT4 – .9, and Total T3 – 137. Since I have hash’s and Graves, should I be on a thyroid replacement? Only on Methimazole. I appear to be high and low.

  38. Sandra Roux Reply

    Thanks Dr. Shook! You’re awesome!

  39. Christine Heldreth Wright Reply

I really liked this! Very informative!

  40. Carmen Coe Reply

The Office of Dr. Brad Shook had to leave this discussion early and go back to work. But i’m watching it now and want to know if the thyroid burns out will you still have highs and lows of thyroid hormone- going from hypo to hyper like a roller coaster as Dr. Shook stated in this video?
