In recently published research, it was determined that women can slow the progression of a kyphotic (hump) posture by performing specific exercises. This research further supports existing research on specific exercise prescription for posture correction. Poor posture causes lowered self-esteem, decreases lung capacity, degenerative arthritis (OA), degenerative disc disease (DDD), pain, and earlier mortality rates as we age.
We use Clinical Biomechanics of Posture, a highly researched, evidence based approach that allows us to reliably predict and rehabilitate abnormal posture. I posted on this topic early this year, and you can read it here.
