I purchased your book can you mail it to me? I’m not much for reading online lol i like to have a hard back or paper copy in hand

    • Renee Ryle Reply

I think you need to print it out. He said one day last week that they are just online, but you can print it. Guidebook right?

      • Anna Danielle Nutter

Renee Ryle thank you! I missed the printing out part didn’t know this was an option lol thank you

      • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook

Anna, we don’t have it in a hard copy format, but I would recommend printing it, then going back to the online PDF to watch the videos and learn more about specific topics. THere are a lot of links to other resources, and the PDF/online version makes it much easier to access them. Hope it helps you!

      • Renee Ryle

Anna Danielle Nutter you’re welcome. I happened to hear him say it one day. No worries at all.

Why don’t Endocrinologists focus on the autoimmune issue?

So if we can find the underlying cause, we could eliminate the thyroid medicine altogether

  13. Karen Kandra Reply

I remember my old gastroenterologist who has since retired always asked if you went out of the USA.

  14. Sheila Hurst Reply

I had a doctor tell me that since I had a full thyroidectomy that I no longer had hashimoto’s!!

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Hey Sheila. The autoimmune process is still present, but the target tissue is now gone. In over 50% of cases of autoimmunity, you will see expansion to other tissues, so trying to address drivers of the immune response is still very important even if the thyroid has been removed. I hope this helps.

  15. Suzette Smith Reply

Do you have a list of bacteria to test for somewhere?

  16. Judy Brown Reply

Will these parasites be seen during a colonoscopy?

  17. Judy Brown Reply

    My experience has been
“No. We don’t test for T3”
    I appreciate your approach.

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

I know… they can’t order it becasue it will not change their treatment plan, so they don’t have a tool to help you with it, and if it doesn’t change the treatment plan then it’s not “medically necessary” according to the insurance contract they signed. It will change, but it will take time.

      • Kathleen Kriss Ourelio

I am a nurse in an ON/GYN office for 25 years. We always order T3, T4, TSH and Thyroid antibodies. Why would they not do a full thyroid panel ???

      • Vicki Roberts

        They always check mine too!

I have puscular sclerosis since I was 20 now I am 66 yrs old. I had to have my right lobe of my thyroid removed as well as the itsimiss. A year or so I was hospitalized with heart problems. After all tests were done n my heart was diagnosed okay. I was sent home after 3 days still sick as I went in. I went back to Dr and he ordered a ultra sound of my gall bladder which appeared normal. They did a blood test that showed I had H Philri. That was treated n I felt so much better.

This happened to me! I had fasciolopsi buski and they just kept eating my thyroid meds. I was on a crazy high amount of meds. I finally did a natural parasite cleanse and produced the worms “Fluke” for the dr to test. It was only through my own research including watching ur videos that I was able to stop listening to the dr who told me I was crazy to think something was seriously wrong beyond my thyroid.

Dr Shook, I’ve had Hashimotos for 9 years and my TSH goes from 0.72 to 4.0 or higher, but my Doctor’s can’t get any stabilization. I’ve gone from Levothyroxine to Synthroid to try and change things but the bounce is still there. I have many of the same symptoms your case study shows. It’s so frustrating to feel ok for a short time then it’s back to the same. I have little energy, no upbeat feelings, etc, etc, etc. I listened to your talk and saw myself. Thanks for your input. Maybe I can take some of your insight to my Endocrinologist.

My lyme treatment I had to pay out of pocket. Systemic candida, babasesia and bartonella in addition to lyme and hashimoto’s. Was a prisoner in my own body and it was falling apart. Drs keep referring me to psychiatrist as if crazy meds would make pain and symptoms go away. Finally until I educated myself and found lyme Literate dr and paid out of pocket
Now need to get my thyroid squared away because I’m in menopause.
