Diagnosed W/Hashimoto’s last yr. found myself a great Conventional/Holistic Dr. & I have been feeling my best since before Diagnosis. 5 nodules On Thyroid 2 On Left 3 On Right side. 1 biopsied last yr. but Dr. refused to do the other just behind the 1 biopsied. Thank God Benign for 1st. Not having the second one on left weighed in me so finally told my Dr. Let’s biopsy it & lie & behold I have Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Stage 1. Surgeon wants to remove whole Thyroid what are your thoughts people also want to mention my Thyroid levels are normal & all my blood work is good except for antibodies! Thoughts on having partial or whole Thyroid removal please & TY??

I’m sorry about your diagnosis. I can only tell you that some have been able to live successfully after Thyroid removal, but they do need to take Thyroid hormone which is vital to life.

I too had papillary thyroid cancer. Total thyroidectomy done in 1995. I’m doing great! I’m on thyroid medication daily. Only issue has been weight gain due to low metabolism.

Chris Carlson Mcmahon glad to hear that you are doing well! I am hoping I will be in the same boat as you. As far as weight gain, I could stand to gain so I am ok with that!! TY for sharing…. I am on the mend!!
