I’ve had acid reflux since I was 12. Been on medication for it ever since. It’s gotten worse over the years and added more meds. Had thyroid symptoms for at least 10-15 years. Had my thyroid removed in 2017 because I had 12 nodules and cancer. Struggling to function and my Dr go by Labs and says I don’t need anything more than 150 synthroid a day. No Dr in my area will go by symptoms and looking at the whole body. They only look at lab work.

  4. Anna Danielle Nutter Reply

It’s very hard! People whom don’t work health care may not understand the guidelines.. this is what needs to change! I feel bad for our docs! They care and their hands are tied

What can you do if your TSH and T4 are normal range, but your T3 is high and you’ve taken three tests within 3 months that say the same thing? The doc doesn’t know what to do. Biotin was stopped right after first test.

  23. Kristína Korenková Reply

    Meditation

I get a massage as often as I can. Wish I had a sauna. Which BCAA’s are a good brand to use? And I take 100 Synthroid a day. My joints hurt from taking my Synthroid. What else can I take? Would love to get off of it

Where would we be with you 🙂 I truly appreciate your help

  56. Karen Kandra Reply

I told an internist that all my systems were interrelated and he told me I needed a psychological consult. I have kidney stones and they pumped me with so much saline to get the stones out that I was constipated for 11 days. I believe the potassium levels of the kidney and intestines are related.

  57. Karen Kandra Reply

Unfortunately, I can’t defend the providers in Monmouth County, NJ. As a Medicaid patient I receive either no care or abysmal care.

  58. Deborah Hanson Reply

10 years hashimotos, low cortisol recent discovery, how would I no what’s causing, my inflammation?

  59. Deborah Hanson Reply

The medical establishment, like you sed waddle in their own canoes, which is great, but they never join the dots, no connection.. Patients go from doctor to doctor, as a result no route forward and copious diagnosed.

  60. Deborah Hanson Reply

What would you suggest first to start with?

  61. Annica Forsberg Reply

    Hi

  62. Pam Lee Puskar Reply

Could having a low white blood cell count cause you to have a undiagnosed infection and lead to high tsh? Mine is 9.63 . WBC 3.4 at last blood work. Raise dose from 90 mg np to 120. Rechecking in 2 months

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

I commonly find chronic infections in people that have lowered white counts. Usually in the GI tract.

      • Pam Lee Puskar

Thank you for your response. I did have a serious food poisoning incident a few months back. Wondering if I’m still being affected by that. I will take advantage of your book.

  63. Patti Powell Mollet Reply

Why do you think so many have thyroid issues?
