I was diagnosed in the country of my origin five years ago, and the first thing after the TSH my doctor did, was get TPO and TG antibodies level. It’s a shame that doctors here are not practicing the same thing. But insurance companies…

I don’t quite understand how I would know that my body is reacting to soy or gluten or dairy. What symptoms arise as a result? I went gluten free for a while and couldn’t tell any difference. Is this solely determined by having thyroid antibodies retested periodically to determine food sensitivities? Thank you!!!
Hi Wendy. There are quite a few symptoms of food sensitivity. Symptoms can range from constipation, diarrhea, breakouts, sleep problems, pain from inflammation and abdominal pain to mood issues and depression. Sometimes a food sensitivity test must be done. There are several foods that cross react with gluten, meaning the proteins are similar enough in those foods that the body reacts to those the same way it would to gluten, so if you are removing gluten but not those foods you still might have the same issues. Each person’s body chemistry is different and there are several different ways that thyroid chemistry can break down. A thyroid antibodies test will tell you if you are autoimmune (your body is attacking itself) but a different test needs to be done for food sensitivities.
Thank you for your videos and breaking the information down to a level that can be understood.
