    • Christy Olson Reply

I also have Graves with a huge goiter and nodules on both sides. In remission now. But also positive for hashimotos antibodies. My goiter has finally shrunk after implementing Dr Shook’s diet and following his advice.

So if I didn’t notice any improvements in how I felt when I went gluten-free (I have Hashimoto’s), then most likely there is something else driving my symptoms?

    • Christy Olson Reply

Heather, how long have you been gluten free? Using any gluten free packaged goods? They sometimes still have traces of gluten or are full of other things that could be inflammatory to you. We’re all different so it can take time to figure out your own triggers. It could be several things.

      • Heather Schram

Christy Olson it has been well over a year, but I don’t notice any differences. Some gluten-free foods that are labeled such, but not too many. I definitely agree that it could be several things!

  35. Cindy-Lou Harris Reply

The keto diet has literally changed my life!

  46. Johnna Harcus Severson Reply

I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, Lupus and Fibromyalgia. Have been pretty miserable despite being gluten and dairy free for years. Once I started keto the beginning of December my world has changed completely. I’ve lost a ridiculous amount of weight, can now exercise because my joints don’t feel like they are on fire and have energy.

    • Norma Smith Reply

What is “keto”?? I have not watched all of this series.

      • Johnna Harcus Severson

It’s basically super low carb, medium protein and high fat diet. Similar to Atkins but even cleaner eating. It’s literally been a life saver for me. People that haven’t seen me since the end of November can’t believe how much better I look these days. All my puffiness went away in the first couple weeks.

  47. Lynda Lou Huffman Reply

    It does make a difference!

  48. Julie Prouty Reply

What if you’re vegan?. Anthony Williams medical medium says if you have all these issues animal fat is hard on the liver to process
