Thank you again for this vital information Dr Shook!

Thyroid people I have only got rid of brain fog with a complete gluten free diet.
However, this did not stop the memory issues eg. Names of people or things, sometimes I cannot for the life of me remember & these are people I am in contact with most days sometimes

I would be very interested in the cerebella test for the brain to see if & how much destruction has been done.
I think that the neurological symptoms are one of the most debilitating & socially noticeable signs of deterioration with autoimmune or hashimotos … & currently not being addressed by main stream doctors. So thank you so much for being a real doctor!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Kari Goff Clevinger, guess it’s time for me to find a specialist. You?

    • Kari Goff Clevinger Reply

Yep. Going to set up consultation with Dr Shook probably in August cause I’ll be gone much of July and his office is pretty straight forward about the commitment needed. Plus i hope to be feeling better with respect to the mono by then

I too would like to know if this is the same with Graves’ disease. Please post more about Graves!

Hashimoto is hypothyroidism or having an under active thyroid. Graves’ disease is the opposite.

I know what Graves is. I have it. Dr. Shook frequently posts about Hashimotos and I was asking if what he shared in this video would also apply to Graves.

      • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook

Much of what is posted on Hashimoto’s would also apply to Graves. Both are autoimmune and in any case of autoimmunity Dr. Shook’s first concern is to “dampen” autoimmunity or to put it into remission. The cause of the triggers and drivers (causes and what keeps it going) need to be addressed in either case.

Graves Disease is an overactive thyroid or hyperthyroidism.

Thank you so much for posting all of these videos. You are a great teacher. I have learned more about my hypothyroidism from watching these videos than I ever have talking to my Dr.

So many people with symptoms will see a doc and told to get a standard comprehensive wellness panel that includes blood work for basic thyroid testing that come back “normal” – and the person goes down the rabbit hole not understanding what’s wrong. If docs would know to add TPO testing, it can be a tremendous value in discovery. Thanks for your post and enthusiasm!!

I have Hashimotos Encephalopathy and it took my doctors several years to get to the problem. I know this all too well. I can’t remember two years of my life, severe car sickness, etc. They put you on steroids and don’t want to help get to the root of the problem. Was good to see this video!
