Dr. Shook, i’ve been on Synthroid for a little over a year now because my TSH levels have been outside of normal range. I’ve been stable on the meds for the past year. I have recently had a mirena removed and since then have been having issues with my thyroid going out of normal range again. They have increased my meds. There are many days that I feel like there is a pill stuck in my throat. They did an ultrasound and I had no nodules or growths. However they did say I have excess blood going to my thyroid. I am suffering with inflammation issues as well. And I had a thyroid anti-bodies test and my antibodies were high. Do you know what it means to have excess blood going to your thyroid? I have good days and bad but when they’re bad I feel awful. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
