Why You Still Have Thyroid Symptoms With Normal TSH and T4? Could it be Hashimoto’s or something else?
How would you find out
Dr. Shook, I thank you for all your information! I read that EBV could be the the underlying problem of Hoshimoto throiditis. What are your thoughts on this?
So if what you are saying is the situation, how do you treat the inflammation? I have had Hashimoto’s for 16 yrs. My TSH was 97.8 when I was diagnosed and they couldn’t detect any T-3 in my blood sample. (They tested it 3X) So obviously they were very low. Sadly my Dr.’s have only treated the thyroid with medication. I’m just realizing it’s my immune system that also needs to be treated and I started eating gluten free. This is all new to me but I want to do everything I can to help heal my immune system. The crazy thing is I take a low dose of Synthroid. I see some people take like 300 mcg of Synthroid and I take a half of a 75 mcg and always have. My dosage has never changed. So I must have some thyroid function. Without my medication though I’m a sloth.
Aloha Dr.Brad Shook, thank you so much for your information…I wished that your clinic here @ PDX
Have a wonderful an evening
Dr Shook I had my Thyroid remove last June and I am having the issue with T3. If I am having issues with my liver, fatty liver and I been told I need to lose wait that it is getting close to turning to Cirrhosis could this be causing converting issues?
I have normal TSH, Low (free) T4, Normal (free) T3, and low Vitamin D. Also normal Gamma Glutamyl Transferase. What is that an indication of? Oh and I am on Armour.
