I have them after masectomy. Are there things to do to help with your body handling them. I don’t want to remove them since I don’t have breast tissue.

    I have Hashi
Moros as well as other issues; and I have the Worst implants possible…. polyeurethane bag filled with silicone.

I don’t have breast implants but for those that have had mastectomies, a procedure can be done where they take your own muscle from your abdomen and slide it up into your breast.

Thank you for talking about this! I am getting my implants removed and then doing fat transfer. I do feel the implants could be hindering my recovery.

Thank you so much. I have decided to remove them.. how about breast lift after? Is that ok? My health is more important than implants. I regret getting them and I have done a lot of research this time and I agree.. thank you for making this easy to accept. So grateful for you Dr. Shook

I developed Hashimoto’s two years after implants. My health went downhill from there. I explanted in 2015 and showed great improvement. I now advocate for raising public awareness of illness and complications that can stem from silicone and saline breast implants. There are over 20,000+ sick women just on Facebook. The rate of autoimmune disease development after implants seems to be very high. #breastimplantillness

My sister has Alzheimer’s at 55, taken her to private specialists and they believe silicone has got into her brain! Waiting for silicone toxicity test on the 5th June, taken a year to try to get them out even though one has encapsulated, no surgeon wants to do It because of her mental capacity, she’s had hers 12 years and breast cancer 3 years ago! Just don’t get them they can ruin your life as I’m sure it’s what has ruined my sisters life!

Paula, thank you for sharing this with us. These chemicals are absolutely immune reactive and can wreak havoc on the body and immune system. I wish you and your family the best with this, and if there’s anything that we can do please let us know.

The Office of Dr. Brad Shook , thankyou so much, I have been fighting this for two years now, I’m hoping that if the blood test comes back positive for silicone or heavy metals I can take her back to the surgeon and demand extraction, I have also met a nutritional scientist who came in my salon for a haircut and told me he would help with the detox after the extraction, he’s also studying Alzheimer’s and is convinced that’s her problem! I’m not sure how you can help but I’m happy with any advice!
        Thankyou again
