Autoimmunity does necessarily increase C-reactive protein or your sedimentation rate. The autoimmune process can promote high cytokine levels but those fluctuate and are very difficult to quantify. If you’re autoimmune and and the process has not been dampened by working on the driving factors then you are likely to have high cytokine levels.
I’m thinking of getting a second opinion if I don’t improve. I’ve gotten worse since going there for 3 years.
