What shouod someone look for when choosing say, a naturopath, to help with thyroid, etc?

  2. Anna Danielle Nutter Reply

It makes perfect sense! My problem is – hyper didn’t have to deal with leaky gut – weight issues- switch to hypo leaky gut- gaining weight rapid speed! So confusing! Thank you docs for confirming I’m not crazy? Lol! So there is no in between? Lol! Now I’m watching my diet working out to no end.. or successful out come!

I take a lot of garlic 10,000 mg + per day and turmeric. That’s good right? It’s 10:15 Doc.

  5. Bonnie Poole Reply

I have to take a lot of Vitamin D or I test low as I am fair skin natural redhead. Should I take it with Vitamin D with Vitamin K as a combo? Is there a best brand?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

In similar cases I recommend Vit D and K, either together, or K in a multi.

      • Bonnie Poole

The Office of Dr. Brad Shook thank you so much. I will get the vitamin D and K combo next time I need to get it.

  8. Priscilla Meas Reply

Dr. Brad, I Really needed help with my Psoriasis

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Priscilla, I work with people around the world via distance consulting if you need help. I am going to be offering my dietary and lifestyle program to the public once again in the near future, that may be an option too.

  9. Anna Danielle Nutter Reply

No we all just need to save our money and come to you! Period your the only one whom understands the physiology concerning thyroid disease

    • Lena Vazquez Reply

Where is he? He surely charges very well, huh?

      • Anna Danielle Nutter

I believe South Carolina or Tennessee honestly not sure but I’m saving my money to make an appt

      • Caryn Martin Winegardner

Anna Danielle Nutter I think North Carolina

      • Anna Danielle Nutter

Thank you I couldnt remember lol

      • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook

Lena, I’m in North Carolina. Actually, my fees are really low in comparison to most medical care. I spend around 2 hours or more for $375 reviewing records and talking to my clients. Medical doctors bill insurance thousands for the same amount of time.

I thought I was healthy enough to fast, however, as I mentioned I’ve had psoriasis flare up. So there’s something going on in my body. I eat whole foods, so I think it’s more likely to be chemical or pathogen that’s the cause.

  14. Stacie Oswald Reply

  27. Tamian Wood Reply

Any tips for weight loss and insomnia?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

Tamian, there are so many drivers of those problems, that making recommendations without knowing a lot more would likely be more harmful than helpful. You need to better understand why you can’t lose weight and sleep so that you can formulate a plan that is specific… otherwise you’ll waste a lot of time and may never get to the drivers.

This is a great video series that will help you understand problems losing weight… it’s really just about getting healthy, but looking at it from a systems based approach… Start with this video… https://business.facebook.com/drbradshook/videos/vl.328632854404622/2266730380237524/?type=1

  57. Latania Kennard Reply

Hey Dr Shook, do you know of any testing in the UK for antibodies to foods, pathogens and chemicals?

    • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook Reply

We can order them for you in the UK. We have worked with clients in the UK many times. We conduct appointmetns via skype, phone, or facetime.

      • Latania Kennard

Great! I think it’s time I worked with you as I’ve come a long long way on my own (our health system leaves me feeling abandoned as a Hashimoto’s patient, so I do everything myself, even if it’s dealing with a hyper flare). But now it’s time to tackle this with some support and address the things I just can’t get any further with by myself.

      • The Office of Dr. Brad Shook

Latania, I can work with you in the UK. All you need to do is visit the application for care page on my website to learn more about it. If you’d like to schedule an appointment you can request it directly from that page. Hope this helps.

April, we can help you get testing, interpret the results and put together a strategy for you. Just visit our application for care page to learn how I work with people across the US and in other countries. If you’re interested, you can learn more here: https://bit.ly/2LBEhhK
